Winter Nets

As the season draws near its time to oil the bat, find your kit bag and realise you never did put your whites into the wash after the last game last season.

To help us all hit the first games with at least an inkling of what we are supposed to be doing the Club has organised indoor nets.
Although the nets are organised by Headley CC, Old Freemens members are welcome.

Dates and Times

Monday 6th April 2009 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm;

Monday 13th April 2009 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm; dates to be added depending on turnout

the 13th is a bank holiday but we will have full access to the facilities

Extra Date Added

Tuesday 21st April 2009 - 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Venue and Directions

The net practices will be held at the Epsom College sports facilities - Sports Hall 2

The Club has hired the hall and there will be the opportunity to run 5 nets concurrently.

Directions to the hall can be found at the website of the Epsom College Fitness Centre

Costs

The club is subsidising net practices so you are only asked to contribute a nominal £2.00 (no increase since 1998).

Please ensure you pay the Club Captain/Chairman who will run the net practice (Mark Hopper and/or Andy Pickering)

Organisation

The Club Captain/Chairman will be there to oversee the net practice in particular to have a look at the new players.

Please help them out by following direction regarding setting up/putting down the nets and rotating the batting.

Epsom College Rules

There is no smoking, food or drink or glass/bottles allowed within the sports hall.

Clean footwear to be used.

All accidents or major injuries must be reported (Club captain will have details).

We will need to put away the nets at the end of the session.
