11.
That the Rector and Church Wardens of the Parish of Headley and their
successors be made Honorary Members, with full rights of playing or
non–playing Members.
12.
That a Special Meeting of the Members be called by the Hon. Secretary
within 28 days after receiving a requisition signed by not less than any
six Members or one fifth of the total number of Members, whichever is
less, the object of the Meeting being stated.
13. That
a General Meeting of the Members may be called by the Hon. Secretary upon
instruction by the committee at any time on giving reasonable notice.
14. Candidates
for election to Membership must be proposed by a Member and seconded by a
Member of the Committee, the names and addresses being given to the
Secretary by the Proposer. The names of the Candidates shall then be
submitted to an appointed Sub–Committee consisting of Members of the Club
Committee together with such other Members as may be required for the
purpose to vote on the election of the Candidates. A simple majority vote
in favour shall decide admittance.
15.
The name and address of any person proposed for election shall for not
less than two days before the election be prominently displayed in the
Club premises in a part frequented by the Members. Persons may not be
admitted to Membership, or be admitted as Candidates for Membership to any
of the privileges of Membership, without an interval of at least two days
between their nomination or application for Membership and their
admission, nor may persons becoming Members without prior nomination or
application be admitted to the privileges without an interval of at least
two days between their becoming Members and their admission.
16.
Any Member disobeying the Rules or being guilty of misconduct be reported
to the Committee who shall take such action as they may think fit.
17. That
the Annual General Meeting of the Club be held during the closed season,
i.e. between October and March inclusive but so that not more than fifteen
months shall elapse between one Annual General Meeting and the next in
each year, to receive the Committee’s Report and the duly audited
Statement of Account, which shall include a separate Statement of Account
in relation to teas, etc., and similarly a separate Statement of Account
in relation to the bar, to elect the Officers of the Club including the
Members of the Club and Bar Committees and to transact any other competent
business.
